The premise of Pathfinding in Stormflux is that people, places, and objects are drawn together sympathetically by their likeness and kept apart by things like animosity and distrust. Geography itself is blended and warped such that the world is a great big feywild. Each mountain climbed will beget a higher mountain, each forest charted will lead to more dangerous uncharted wilds, and in the depths of the caves and seas inevitably shall lurk something altogether alien.

A variety of lore skills relating to creatures and essences assist player characters in interpreting the wilds by allowing them to tap into collective wells of information. Players are also encouraged to take notes, experiment, and carefully consider their encounters. The Storm hearkens to chaos, but underlying rules drive the interactions of the world, and mastery of these will allow the invocation of great power…

The Lost Age has left the ruins of those who failed or balked when confronted with calamities both self-inflicted and happenstance. In learning of them you may learn from them, or else repeat their errors.
